WHAT AGE IS BEST FOR HEIRLOOM PORTRAITS?There’s no “perfect” age — every stage of childhood is worth preserving. However, heirloom portraits are especially lovely for babies who can sit unassisted (around 6 months) through children up to about 8 years old. This window captures the soft expressions, tiny features, and timeless innocence that define these classic portraits.
WHERE DO HEIRLOOM PORTRAIT SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?Heirloom portrait sessions are held in Anna Halker Photo’s studio in Bluffton, SC, located in the same shopping center as the Cinemark theater. The studio provides a quiet, classic setting designed specifically for timeless portraiture.
Sessions are scheduled by appointment only.
WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD WEAR?Once your session is reserved, I’ll send over a handpicked list of favorite boutiques and brands to make styling simple. For that true heirloom feel, look for classic silhouettes with sweet details like smocking, lace, ruffles, or embroidered collars. These timeless pieces allow the focus to stay on your child while adding just the right amount of charm.
WHAT DOES IT COST?A $200 session retainer secures your heirloom portrait date. Finished artwork and albums are selected and purchased separately during your ordering appointment.
Every session is tailored to your family, with most clients investing between $2,000–$5,000 in bespoke artwork and heirloom pieces.
